Together with Getinge Medical Equipment we have built several courses for both internal and external use. The latest and most exciting cooperation is Getinge Optimizer, which is a classic rapid e-learning course.
Active Learning
Departing from a concrete business goal the course aims to activate the user so that the learning process involves testing the new knowledge in real life situations. The fact that the user makes mistakes is not something negative, but rather an integral part of the learning experience.
Goal and Purpose
The sellers at Getinge must be able to conduct a quick and exact calculation of the needs at any hospital. Prior to contacting TicTac they solved this task in cooperation with the internal support desk, but with Getinge Optimizer the sellers can do the calculation without any assistance. The goal of the course was to decrease the work load of the support desk and create more sufficient methods.
The Tools
The tools that were used are Adobe Captivate and Articulate Studio.
Challenges Led to Results
The education was structured around challenges that triggered the user to start using the tool immediately. The users were given tasks that they solved and then reported into the system. The course could thereby detect common mistakes and misunderstandings.
When starting the first challenge the user was given plenty of assistance in the form of screen films etc. As the course proceeded less help and assistance was provided. In the end the user did not receive any help at all and was meant to act independently.
