Pedagogy

Smart pedagogy

We take particular care to adapt our pedagogical methods to the given subject. A course teaching how to fill out a form requires a different pedagogical approach than a course focused at how to act in a situation of crisis. Therefore we have developed pedagogical methods that meet these needs, e.g. scenario-based pedagogy and test-based pedagogy.

Knowledge – Target group – Goal

The first step in producing a course is to identify the relevant stock of knowledge, the target group and the goal. During this process our project managers work in close dialogue with our clients in order to offer their experience of setting a coherent strategy.

Analysis and matching

When content, target group and goal are defined it is time for a deeper analysis. In this step the focus is on the bigger picture, i.e. in what context the course should function. We discuss questions such as level of computer skill in the target group, timeframe for the production and distribution channels.

Our project managers and scriptwriters are always close at hand to contribute their experiences and input.

Types of learning

The next step is focused at finding the most suitable pedagogical method in regards to the variables we have detected in the form of content, target group, timeframe, budget, distribution channel and so on. In order to clarify the type of decisions essential in this step we refer to Bloom’s taxonomy for learning. Bloom presents 7 different goals in regard to learning: to remember, to understand, to apply, to analyse, to evaluate and to create. We have translated these goals to four pedagogical approaches: to present, to demonstrate, to interact and to simulate. These approaches serve as the basis for how we structure the script and build the course. Please contact us to learn how you can create pedagogical e-learning.
